Jan Lind-Sherman was a teacher
with a dream. She knew it would be difficult for her students to
achieve rewarding, productive lives without some sort of advanced education.
She dreamed of being able to provide scholarships to her students at Martin
Luther King Elementary School in Seattle.
In 1994 Jan and her husband
found themselves in a position to realize Jan's dream. They were
able to start and contribute to a foundation specifically for those children.
